No decision on central staff retirement age on cabinet meeting

There were reports that the cabinet is likely to take decision on enhancing the retirement age for the central employees by two years at yesterday's meeting, nothing of this direction had taken place

As per information available, the Govt. has already taken in principle decision to extend the service for two more years and DOPT has begun to work to implement the same.

The decision and formal announcement is expected by this year end.
